Leaving administrator role
-
Hello,
I am no longer involved in the organization running this site and wish to leave my admin role to avoid accidental modifications and dissociate my profile from the site.
Am I able to do this myself?WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can change roles in
Dashboard->Users.
You can reassign roles and delete users from there. Here’s some more info on it:

Good luck!! -
Thanks for the link to the article. However, it seems that I am unable to change my own role or remove myself from the website, even though I am not the website owner. I guess the easiest solution would be to contact another admin but I have not been in touch with them in many years and I don’t think they use the site anymore either.

Ok I found it!!!
Go to your profile (Click on your profile pic)->
Manage Blogs->
Hover over the blog URL->
Leave blog.
Here’s the documentation:
https://wordpress.com/support/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog
Hope it solves it.
Good luck! -
Wow, well done on finding the info! I guess the keyword here was “blog” instead of “site,” I never would’ve guessed.
This worked exactly as described!
Thank you so much for your help 🙌
