Leaving wp.com, want to take my domain with me

  I created a wordpress.com site, and at the same time purchased a domain – famcore5.com – through WordPress. Now I want to blog elsewhere. How can I use/take my domain name that I paid for with me – WITHOUT PAYING ANY OTHER FEES? Don’t know where I’m going yet, just want to take the domain I paid for elsewhere. Anyone know how?

  Just change the name servers to point to your new host / site – no charge – the instructions are in Domain Management somewhere in your dashboard under upgrades.

  Remember to export your blog then you can import it to your new site –

  is that what the “make privet” means in the domain area?

  @thekoolman3: No, “Make Private” refers to a private WHOIS registration, where your name and address aren’t made public on a WHOIS directory. Details here:
