Lebanon not found is the Visa list of countries

  Hi,

  I want to change my blog URL to : tinarizk.com , yet, when trying to register and pay, I noticed that my country i.e. Lebanon is not mentioned in the list of countries. Please note that I want to pay by Visa.

  WordPress.com uses PayPal as a payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ Your country is not supported.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  Thanks for your reply.

  I want to pay by Visa and when looking at the list of countries for “Lebanon” I noticed that it isn’t mentioned in the list of countries, while Visa is duly functional in Lebanon and I used it online already in other sites.

  Do you have an idea whether I can also pay through Moneybookers which is Skrill currently?

  No you can’t. The only methods of payment are the ones I posted above plus bitcoin (but it cannot be used for either domain or premium theme purchases).

  What if I purchase the domain through another domain sites than wordpress where Lebanon is mentioned in country list, is it easy to transfer my wordpress site to the new domain?

  WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers so if your do that then the best you could do would be to purchase an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade and map to an existing domain.

  we used our card last year and it worked just fine! so this year you remove lebanon?
  Fine,,, we will leave wordpress and move to another blog.
