left blog instead of deleting blog, what now?

Hi I accidentally left my blog but I intended to delete it (vaultofvic.wordpress.com). Now I can’t log back in because I was the sole admin and I can’t delete it, can someone help? Please and thank you so much!

I’ll flag this for staff attention. I must admit that I thought that it was impossible for a sole admin to leave a blog, but if that has happened then the staff will sort it out for you.
Please be patient as it can take them some time to get through to your post.

PS – you can also transfer a blog to a user that does not exist also, the blog keeps a record of the old owner so the staff can return wayward blogs
Have you tried logging in directly at the blog?

Just looked at My Blogs
If you are an Admin that owns a blog you can Transfer the blog but not leave it
If you are an Admin that does not own the blog you can not transfer it but you can leave it
There is I think some way that looks like “Delete” but just removes the blog from your My Blogs page but leaves the blog alive and well – just hidden from you
You did not “Hide” the blog while in the My Blogs page did you?

Well I wanted to move everything to my new blog url, including changing my username so if my old blog was registered to my old username, I can’t do anything now cuz I’m at a new username! But I left the blog after I changed my username, so I’m not sure how I managed to “leave blog” as the sole admin. + I don’t think I hid it, I’ve never seen that function. Thanks for the help everyone, really appreciate it!

Hi there,
It looks like you have two different WordPress.com accounts. The site vaultofvic.wordpress.com is owned by a different user account. If you can log into that account, you can delete the blog by following the instructions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/If you cannot log into that account, you will need to contact our account recovery team by going to https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and selecting the link “Need more help?”.

I’m pretty sure I changed my username before deleting vaultofvic.wordpress.com! I can’t log back in to my old account though. I’ve tried to log in with my old username/password but it doesn’t work. I don’t know if I can recover it cuz I’ve deleted my old email address that was with that username but I changed everything to my new email/username before deleting vaultofvic.wordpress.com. Is there any other way around this? I’m so sorry for all the trouble! -

I’m not sure what you actually did, but I can see two different WordPress.com accounts, and vaultofvic.wordpress.com is owned by a different account than vvikolia.
While we’d like to assist you further, we cannot do account recovery assistance in the public forums, so please use the lost password link I noted before, and give any old/new usernames you may have used, and websites, in the form, so we can help you sort this out.

I found it very strange that my vaultofvic.wordpress.com blog was linked to an older username and not the one I’ve been using to log in all this while to write on vaultofvic.wordpress.com. Irregardless, thank you for your help! -
Since I last checked on the site, I see that the site is now empty of content. Is this satisfactory for you? If you’d like to delete it entirely, please respond to this thread from your other account and let me know, and I will take care of that for you.
