Left Content Bar Mobile – Not Appearing
-
It has come to my attention that the left content sidebar of my blog is unavailable to mobile users. This is occurring on phones as well as iPads.
The left content sidebar is a fly-out menu which grants users access to a majority of the content of the site. I am using WordPress 2014 theme (which is beautiful… except for this one glaring issue).
At this time the only step I could think to take was to ‘disable’ the mobile theme, however that did not resolve the issue.
The link to my blog is included here – and you’ll quickly see why the content sidebar is so useful. Any help on this topic will be much appreciated.

The entire sidebar appears in an expanded form underneath your page and right sidebar content at both mobile and tablet screen sizes.
The screen would be too narrow to fit two coloums so this is the usual method taken by responsive themes like yours to make sure the site is easy to read without hiding any of the content. The menus are expanded automatically as touchscreen devices have no way of making them pop-out by hovering over them like you can with a mouse cursor.
It is quite a lot of scrolling to get to that section on a mobile but you could include a link to jump straight to it after your introductory paragraph by adding this to your main page:
<a href="http://ianajohnson.com/#menu-left">Skip to the menu.</a>Test it out and see what you think.
