Left or right sidebar benefits?

    It seems most themes have a sidebar on the right. The Inuit Types theme has an option to have either.

    Is there a particular benefit on having it on the right as opposed to the left?

    I notice that when it’s on the left, my eye seems more naturally drawn to where the text is place (middle and right), but I’m not sure if the sidebar on the left brings a slightly greater sense of visual distraction.

    Especially for a smaller window size than optimal, the left side’s going to display first. And, also, as you’ve noticed–it’s just distracting.
