Left sidebar in Dashboard only has icons without text

Suddenly today the left sidebar in my Dashboard only has icons without text. If I want to see what each icon will lead to, I have to mouse over each one. How do I get it back to having the slightly wider view of that strip that would include the titles and not just the little icons?

Are you seeing something like this?
If so, please click the bottom icon in the sidebar (blue in the screenshot linked above) to expand the menu.

Yes, torres126, that is what I’m seeing, and I’ve tried clicking on that thing at the bottom but nothing happens. Thanks anyway.

Can anyone else help? I’m still having the problem when I try to get that sidebar fully viewable on my computer. Clicking on the bottom button does nothing to change it.

UPDATE: I just figured out how to fix the problem.
I felt that the words on my computer looked a bit too big. So I held down the Ctrl button and scrolled the wheel on my mouse down to shrink everything on the page. That immediately made the vertical panel wider, complete with the words that had been missing, putting it all back to normal.
What a relief! :)
