legal notices in Frane

  Hello !
  I would like to know if wordpress has all the informations which are necessary in France in case of a legal problem.
  In France, the author can put this information on the blog or give it to the host. These informations are the name, first name, address and phone number. I didn’t remember if when we register on the website we give all these informations. Can you help me to have a website according to the law ?

  Noting that I do not know what French law requires on websites and where you need to post it…

  If you need to add contact information to your website for legal purposes, like websites in Germany must do under “Impressum,” you can add the information to a Page or in a Text or HTML widget and it will be publicly visible.

  You can also add your first and last name on your profile page: https://wordpress.com/me This will not be displayed publicly. You can add your mobile phone number to your account recovery page at https://wordpress.com/me/security/account-recovery Again this is not displayed publicly. But there is currently no place or requirement to list your physical address (except if you register a Custom domain name and then that’s the registrar’s requirement).

  This thread is tagged for Staff attention. Perhaps they can consider adding an address field for those who require it. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

  It sounds like you’re referring to an Impressum, as @justjennifer also mentioned above. We don’t collect that type of information. If that information is required to be displayed on your site, you can add it yourself via a page or a widget.
