Legally getting back access to website after employee leaves company

  Hi all-I hope someone can help us. We have been trying to get access/ownership of our company website back from an ex director of our company (we have all the legal documents if copies are required) – he keeps promising to give us the passwords and then ‘holds the site ransom’ for something else he wants from us. Can someone tell me what I can do to get access and retrieve ownership because he is now threatening to sell the site if his ex-wife doesn’t accept an out of court settlement (yes you are right, this is very messy!!!!)
