Legit Mail from WP?

This latest WordPress update — WordPress 3.6.1 — resolves a few security vulnerabilities, including one vulnerability that could result in remote code execution on your site. In order to ensure that your WordPress sites remain secure, please login to your ManageWP dashboard immediately and update all your WordPress sites to the latest version.

    Is this guy legit? I can’t find ManageWP on my dashboard.

    Hiya,

    That e-mail does not originate from our staff.

    It looks like the sender is referring to WordPress.org, rather than WordPress.com. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

    Since you have an account hosted with us, you don’t need to worry about updating software; we take care of all that. It could be that you have signed up for a WordPress.org service in the past? You can safely ignore the message if not.
