Legitimacy of Email Followers

    I have a blog that has my work portfolio. I am able to view hits on the website, which has been nice, but for the past 6 months I have been having far more followers than my hits would seem to indicate. I will sometimes get up to 3 followers a day, with 0 hits on the site.

    Additionally, the followers are almost ALL yahoo.com or mail.ru emails, which is fine but statistically suspect. I occassionally get some hits from Russia, but it’s not what I would expect given the amount of followers.

    Does my work just resonate much more with Russians, or does anyone have an idea as to what could be going on? Thanks in advance.
