Legitimate email from WordPress.com?

I’ve received an email, stating it is from WordPress.com
that says I need to verify my email address. Here is the body of the email:

Dear Valued Customer,We noticed that you still need to verify your email address. ICANN requires that we temporarily put your website on hold if you fail to verify your address.* Please take care of it right away to avoid disruption of services.
All you need to do is click the button below (it only takes a few seconds). You won’t be asked to log in to your WordPress.com account — we’re simply verifying ownership of this email address.

There is a button under this that says “click here” and the return email is (email visible only to moderators and staff). This seems suspicious to me and I’m wondering if it is legitimate or not. It says I must verify my email address to avoid domain suspension. I purchased this domain back in April so I don’t know why I’d be asked this now. Please advise ASAP.Thank you,
KrystenThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
