  Hi there, all WordPressdotcom upgrade plans are paid in full for a year (or two) at checkout and auto renewed annually. There is no monthly payment plan available.

  However, you don’t need a plan at all unless you need the additional features that come with a plan. Many people continue with a free sites for years.
