let someone else take over a blog I make for him?

I would like to start up a blog for a friend and get it going for him but then let him take care of it as if he had created it. Is that possible? I am seeing the problems with email addresses.
I would like to do this for him and am hoping that there is a way.

It’s not difficult, but if you absolutely want no trace that anyone other than him set it up, you’ll have to give him your username.

Yes, she could. But people would still be able to tell that someone other than NewUsername had created teh blog, especially if there was at least one post in it. I don’t know how desperately important that is or isn’t.

Dear raincoaster, panaghiotisadam, tecko, justjennifer and sunnisme — No wonder so many people prefer WordPress! You guys are truly interested in solving the members’ problems.
Justjennifer’s point sort of makes me leery, though, because I am so new here and am learning daily, and staff intervention sounds scary! :-) :-) And bottomest line, this is a thought that I had for my friend; he doesn’t even know I am considering it, but I see him laboring to get his message out and I know that by having a blog he would reach many more people than with his fairly obscure website. (No, he is not selling anything!!!!!)

Ok, I just now read that link that Justjennifer sent and it doesn’t look too extensive. :-) If I do this, would I need to let my friend know ahead of time or can I just submit his email address? Then I can start up his blog with the articles that he has already written, and present the blog to him. He is a very smart guy and I know for sure that he would be able to pick up the mechanics of blogging.
It would be my Christmas present to him and come as a surprise with no warnings.
