Letter 'f' doesn't appear when typing comments via the notifications tab
-
Hello!
This issue started yesterday evening and has continued all day today. When I’m writing comments in the reply boxes which appear if I view a comment in the notifications tab, the letter ‘f’ disappears as soon as I type it. For example, I type ‘fifty’ and it appears as ‘ity’.
This doesn’t happen if I visit the blog post I want to comment on and type my reply there. It doesn’t happen if I go to WP Admin > Comments > Reply > type my reply. Nor does it happen when typing in a blog post or here!
The issue only occurs with the letter ‘f’ when trying to reply to a comment viewed via the Notification Tab.
I’m mystified. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thank you.

There seems to be a general problem right now with the Merriweather font where the letter “f” is dropped. Although I am not certain that this font is in use on your site, I’ve tagged this for Staff attention. Please be patient waiting for their reply.

A glitch with liguatures (like fl and fi) was introduced in the Merriweather font a few days ago. According to the font’s developer, a fix will be pushed through to Google Fonts today (Jan. 25) in the morning, Pacific time:
https://github.com/EbenSorkin/Merriweather/issues/16
Temporary workarounds include:
1. Add the following custom CSS, if you have access to the upgrade:
html { -webkit-font-variant-ligatures: none; -moz-font-variant-ligatures: none; font-variant-ligatures: none; }OR,
2. In your Customizer’s Fonts panel, choose another font.
