letters' colour
-
Hello, I will like to change the colour of the letters in my website (www.kiageo2.wordpress.com) from light blue to a greenish colour with code #6eb4a6.
How can I do that?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Kia

Hi, how are you?
You can do that with a custom CSS, or looking for theme customization. For more informations about custom CSS, please follow the link below:

Hi, I am good thank you. What about you?
I couldn’t change the colour, even when I inserted the code of “body.mobile-theme {
background-color: #6eb4a6;} in CSS.What else can I do?
Kind regards,
Kia

Hi kiageo2,
I visited your site, I didn’t find any light blue text. Then I found some of it in the menu/navigation. If you want to change the color of the navigation text, I think you can try this code –
`
.main-navigation a { color:#6eb4a6; }
a:visited { color: #6eb4a6; }Let me know if that works!

Hello omkarbhagat,
Yes, I was referring for the light blue colour of the letters in the menu/navigation.
It did work indeed!
Thank you very much!
Kind regards,
Kia

It did go back again to light blue. So, it didn’t actually work..
Any other suggestions??
Thank you in advance
-
Hmm lets experiment adding important to it –
.main-navigation a { color:#6eb4a6 !important; } a:visited { color: #6eb4a6 !important; } -
No change ;/
I will describe you my process:
-custom design- try now and then CSS and copy paste it there
Is this how I should do it ?

Oh! Have you purchased a premium or a business plan? I think you’re only “trying” out the feature. That is the reason the changes are not being applied. I guess you can only preview them.
This is what I understand from reading this article –
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#preview-custom-design-before-purchaseQuote:
Preview Custom Design Before Purchase
Anyone can preview the Customize tools for free. If you haven’t purchased WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business and would like to preview the tools, go to My Sites → Customize → Custom Design and click on the Try Now button.
-
ohhh now I get it..
Yes, it might be the reason that I haven’t bought the workpress.com etc, and I am only using free account thing.
However, I have activate the specific theme to the website since it does not need to be purchased to be activated. -
Yes you can use and activate free themes but to customize them (to modify their CSS) you need to purchase a premium or business plan.
Check the pricing/plans page –
https://wordpress.com/pricing/You can see “advanced design customization” is only available in premium and business plan!
-
Oh! Thank you very much for the info.
Since buying a premium or business plan is a later stage for me; I will come back to you when I do purchase it and in case I still face this problem of customizing the colour.
Thank you very much for your time and for providing me with the info.
Kind regards,
Kia
