letters turned from white to black on my theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

    I use the theme “Alves”.

Letters were supposed to be white, but this morning I went to edit my homepage and found out that the letters are black.

I thought it had to do with the dark mode in my cell phone, but the same happens in my laptop.

Can anybody help me restore or understand what happened, please?

    Tks,
    Bruno

    Hi there,
You can change the text color to white or to any color manually. For that, open the homepage in the editor from your_site->Pages->all pages.
On the editor select the paragraph block and on the right sidebar find the color panel from where you can change the color by selecting. Please see Screenshot
Please find more details here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/paragraph-block/#block-settings

Moreover, I see you have used “Quote Block ” on your page. To change the quote block text color you will have to use highlight. For that, select the quote block and then select all text using mouse or use ctrl + a (PC) or cmd + a (Mac) from the keyboard. From the new toolbar click on the down arrow (v)->Highlight. Highlight screenshotFrom the next tab panel select the text color as you prefer.
Don’t forget to update the page after change & please clear the browser cache after that.

Can anybody help me restore or understand what happened, please
By the above method you can solve the color issue. However, I am tagging this thread for staff attention. Please wait for their reply. They are best to explain why it happened.
    Thanks

    @brunocastello

Thanks for reaching out. We confirmed this is a bug and reported it to our developers.

In the meantime, you’ll want to select the respective color in the block settings to make sure this is reflected on the front end by selecting the text and changing the color to white.

    I hope that helps!
