LG Dare “Virus” (Supposedly from WordPress Blog)

My sister just informed me that she has been at Verizon for two hours because her phone stopped working properly. The clowns over there asked her if she had added any new favorites to her internet browser and she had added just one, my blog. After a software update and the usual, they technician claimed that my site gave the phone a virus. Is the possible or is it just the canned response for a Verizon tech that doesn’t know how to fix a phone?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    That’s highly improbable.

My phone is an LG Dare from Verizon and I have no issues with it. What do you mean by adding a WP blog to her Dare? I didn’t know you could do that…unless you mean a simple link in favorites, which is impossible to have mess up her phone. Hard to believe you got bad service…Verizon is well known for their good customer service and the Dare is a very good phone.

@snoskier, what is the address of your blog?

I have added my link to my forum profile.

I’ve had nothing but bad luck with Verizon, hence why I’m writing this from my iPhone.

well that may explain it. Its been my experience most devote apple users don’t see the good in any other products except apple…no offense. The Dare does have a much better camera than iPhone…just saying. :)

You sister may find some help on the Dare Forum website. http://www.lg-dare.com/index.php

I just ran your site through Google and they do not show any of the “danger” warnings, so I think you are clean, and I didn’t get any warnings from my security software.

I think the Verizon person was just guessing.
