  I am being libeled by a poster on a WordPress generated site and can find no way to contact the owner of the site or WordPress. Does anyone know how to do this?

  Hi there, first off, is the site hosted here at WordPress.com? The easiest way to tell is if you visit the site, does then dark admin bar appear at the top of site when you are logged into WordPress?

  If the site does not show the admin bar, then it is using the WordPress software, but is hosted elsewhere and we would not be able to help with that. To find out who is hosting a site not hosted here, you can use the following page and then go to the web host’s website and you should find a contact form, and perhaps a form to report abuse.

  Thank you so much. I don’t know. The address in the bar is https://psychrapereporter.wordpress.com.

  I can’t find anything other than the markmonitor abuse number at whois and markmonitor told me that they only register sites and don’t care what is on them.

  WordPress seems to remain anonymous, apparently for good reason. I will need to hire an attorney to find WordPress, as I believe WordPress is liable for allowing libel to remain, despite numerous attempts made to have the moderator of the site remove the libelous statements about me.

  Thank you again. There is no such ability to report abuse on that website. Could you send me a link? I have heard from mark monitor. I that the same company?

  The guide we sent mentions a few ways to report a site. If you’re not seeing the action bar while logged into WordPress.com at the bottom you may fill out the forum linked here:
  https://en.wordpress.com/abuse/

  Please read through the original article before filling out the form to make sure the content you are reporting is indeed in violation of our policies.
