libel, copyright infringement, offensive content – what can I do?
-
Today I found out that my photo has been used without my permission on a blog associated with nazi/satanic metal scene (I won’t post the URL of the blog, cause I don’t want to advertise it). I have absolutely no idea why, cause I have nothing to do with nazism, satanism or metal music in general. Probably somebody posted this photo on a messageboard dedicated to metal music. Next to the photo there was outrageously offensive comment. The site also contains a number of antisemitic, homophobic and anti-Christian remarks expressed in vulgar and threathening language, so it definitely violates wordpress.com TOS.
I’ve already informed the staff (by sending an e-mail to support@wordpress.com and filling this form: http://wordpress.com/report-spam/), but there is no reaction.
The abusive site is in Polish, so I don’t know if people at wordpress/auttomatic will be willing to do something, as they probably are unable to understant the content of the blog in question. What can I do?

I understand why you’re reluctant, but if you don’t provide a link it’s hard for us to identify possible solutions.

Actually, I won’t do it no matter what. The blog doesn’t seem to get many visitors and I want it to remain that way (especially that there is my face posted there and I don’t want to be associated with this scum of the Earth).
I included a translation of the most offensive slurs, but I won’t put my effort into translating the whole text, cause mere thinking of this s***t makes me wanna puke.

“Actually this is the page that you want:
Hmm, the problem is that I don’t have an “electronic signature” nor do I know how to identify my copyright to my personal photo. :)

Besides, copyright infringement is not the only problem here (in fact, it’s the least important thing to me). I just want this disgusting site to cease to exist. I believe in tolerance and freedom of speech, but tolerance also has its limits.

“If the blog is written in a language other than English, make sure you provide a translation.”
As I said, I provided a partial translation, but it’s hard to translate a text which consists entirely of slurs (I don’t even have such a command of English “gutter language”).
I hope my request won’t be refused just because the blog isn’t in English. That would mean that you can violate TOS without consequences as long as you use some “exotic” language. :(
