libre custom background
-
I’m having a bit of difficulty with getting my uploaded image to cover my entire blog. It says at thecustom background support pagethat
“If you have uploaded a background image AND set a background color, the image will appear on top of the color. The background color will show through any transparent areas of the background image.”
Yet, the image appears behind the color. Help please? Thank you very much!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, those instructions only apply to themes that support a background image, but Libre does not support a background image. You may change the background colour only.
I’m not sure where you’re seeing a background image appearing on your site, could you point me to where that’s visible so I can take a look?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I already removed the image since I figured out that it’s just fine for me to have my site only have a background color. I could set it up again however if you want to examine it?

That’s OK, I was able to replicate the issue on my test site. Apologies for any confusion, Libre does actually support a background image, I was mistaken yesterday.
If you have uploaded a background image AND set a background color, the image will appear on top of the color. The background color will show through any transparent areas of the background image.
This part of the Custom Background support document is not actually the way every theme applies background images, so I’m going to remove it to avoid future confusion. Many themes have a solid colour behind the main content area so the text always remains readable. If you wanted to remove that solid colour and make it transparent instead, you would need some custom CSS, which is available with the Premium or Business plan.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and sorry for the confusion!
