Hi there.
There is a ‘full width option without sidebar’ (Take a look here: https://libredemo.wordpress.com/a-parent-page/full-width-no-sidebar/). But I assume you don’t mean this.
As it is said in this Theme page, “the main column width is 739px, except on the full-width page template, where it’s 1088px”. So if you would like to make this bigger, you would need custom CSS magic :). You could take a look of what’s css here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
There are lots of style customization possibilities with CSS and a very friendly community glad to help people to use it ;) https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
Hope that helps you.

Thanks, you too. Just a quick question though – Do I need to avail of the WordPress premium plan to be able to use custom page templates (like the full width, no sidebar option)?

No, not at all, you can create “Full width” or “Right content” pages without premium plan, as those are templates included in this theme.
There is a good support document about creating pages, here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/. Once creating the page, you will be able to choose a template: it is in ‘Page Options’ tab.
I would suggest you to be sure to understand the difference between pages and posts, as those templates are only applicable to pages. You can check this difference I talk about, here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
Hope this helps.
