libre theme – jump links don't land in the right place
-
Hi there.
I’m using jump links on the following page: http://doitwrite.ca/portfolio-web-writing/. They work properly on the tablet and phone, but on the desktop it goes too far down.
I’m guessing this has something to do with the scrolling header, but I’m not sure what to do to fix it without adding a bunch of extra line breaks that will mess up the rest of the page.
Appreciate any help that you can provide!

Hi there – one simple solution would be to split up your resume onto a few pages, so instead of jump links you could just link to separate pages.
Since you’re running a self-hosted site you also have the opportunity to use a plugin. A self-hosted user who ran into the same issue with a different theme that had a fixed header used a plugin called Scroll to Anchor to bypass the problem:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/scroll-to-anchor/These forums are for actually sites hosted on WordPress.com, but you’re running the WordPress software on your own hosting. If you need further help with the self-hosted version of Libre, feel free to post in its forum at WordPress.org:

You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Thanks so much for the plugin information – it worked! :)
Also thanks for the link to the wordpress.org forum – I have another question that I will take there.
