light box

A friend of mine suggested I install something called ‘Lightbox’ into my site, to make it more user friendly.
Well, I followed the instructions, logged into site admin, but I cannot find anything that says ‘plugins’ in the menu.
Little help?
Here’s the link he sent to me: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-lightbox-2/installation/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Third party plugins cannot be installed on WordPress.com sites. Plugins are pre-installed for WordPress.com blogs, and only plugins that have been reviewed and approved are included.
Additional plugins are only installable on self-hosted WordPress.org sites.
I know the difference between .com and .org can get confusing, so here’s a breakdown of the benefits of each:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/While lightbox might not be available, you may consider our carousel for your images, and our galleries:

I hope this tool works for you. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

The closest thing to lightbox at WordPress.com is the carousel. Here’s some information about it from back when the feature was announced and after it was updated too:

If you add a gallery, the default setting should be to open images in a carousel when they are clicked on:
