lightbox goose-chase
-
Hi folks! I’m looking for a way to display my lightbox in the same way as this site (context of the site isn’t important, it’s literally just the way the image and info appears when clicked)
If you scroll down to the ranks you’ll be able to click on one and it’ll pop up with the image and the text, I don’t mind if they are stacked on top of each other or sat next to each other but the goal is that they are paired and the description isn’t hovering on a transparent background or over the image like the standard Lightbox seems to want to do.
Any help, advice, suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks all!

Hi there!
Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Hi there!
The website is tacticalteddies.co.uk
however, nothing on the website currently features the effect I’m looking to achieve because I’m trying to reduce the amount of time I spend populating and editing.
Suffice it to say that I have some characters from the series known a Tactical Teddies that I would love to supply a short bio with. Rather than clog the pages up with text or have visitors jumping between too many pages I’m looking to have thumbnails of the characters and then upon clicking one a light box pops up featuring the visual of the character with a short text bio.
So pretty much like for like to the ranks system on the page I linked to in my example.
Hope that helps 😊

Hi there,
We can’t help directly because we don’t host tacticalteddies.co.uk on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result, we can’t take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host (InMotion Hosting) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. The good news is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks in the open-source forums are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help.
Also I see from examining the source code of your site that you are using the Flatsome theme. This is not a theme we offer on WordPress.com so we are not familiar with it, but I see that the creator of the theme does offer support for your setup questions here: https://themeforest.net/item/flatsome-multipurpose-responsive-woocommerce-theme/5484319/support
It may be a good idea to contact them as well and see if they are able to help since they are more familiar with how this theme is set up.
I hope this gives you a few ideas on how to proceed!

Ahh I’m showing my ignorance here I hadn’t realised I was in the wrong place but your guidance to some potential places that might be useful has been a huge help. Thank you!
