  Posts and pages are different. In the GreyZed theme which is displaying on the free hosted WordPress.com blog linked to your WordPress.com username, the author name is on the posts only but there is no author name displayed on static pages. There is an author name displayed only on posts. If you wish to have an author name display on static pages as well as posts you can select another theme that is coded to display author names on both static pages and on posts.
