Like and comment
-
Hello,
Many of my friends who are not present in the social media websites have read my blogs when I invited them. But when they were trying to post a comment or even to ‘like’ the article, it asked them to log in first.
Is having a social media account or a WordPress a/c mandatory for my readers to post a comment or to ‘like’ my articles?
Regards.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The comments and likes are controlled from different pages.
For information on comments here is a helpful link:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/
You’ll want to go to Settings > Discussion. Under “Other Comment Settings” the first two check boxes will be “Comment author must fill out name and email” and “Users must be registered and logged in to comment.” Make sure the second one is unchecked if you do not want them to have an account to comment.
As far as likes here is another link explaining how to control those settings:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/
But I don’t believe a non WordPress.com user has the ability to like. They would have to have an account.
