'like' and 'follow' buttons

When browsing through a WordPress tag, you will have the option to ‘like’ and/or ‘follow’ without having to click a post. I don’t see how this makes any sense. All this does is allow people to spam others with their multiple clicks of the ‘like’ and ‘follow’ button. Don’t you think that it would make more sense if those buttons are only available when the entire post is visible and not just a short summary? How can anyone even semi-genuinely ‘like’ or ‘follow’ a post when they can’t even read half of it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
