"Like" Button
-
Hi,
Is it possible to “like” a post without being logged in as a wordpress.com user. 90% of the folks who come to my blog are not wordpress.com users, and I think it would be beneficial if they could click a “like” button.
(“Like” on youtube.com and facebook is a very compelling feature, wordpress.com should encourage it on wordpress.com blogs)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No I’m sorry but unless the visitor who has read the post is a wordpress.com user who is signed in then the wordpress.com “like” button cannot be used by them. This is because they are not a part of the community and the wordpress.com like button is an in-house program. http://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/
However, if you enable social networking buttons at the end of your posts then you visitors can use the appropriate ones for the sites where they are members. Please see here as you can choose Customize Your Services to add the serices of your choice. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

Will you also please post the URL for the blog in question when you post to this support forum? Alternatively you can link your wordpress.com username to you wordpress.com blog so we can locate the blog and provide the correct advice. Also when you leave comments your username will be linked to your blog.
Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
