  Why is the Like button restricted to accommodate only WordPress users?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The Like button on WordPress.com is very similar to the Favorite button on Twitter or the Like button on Facebook.

  It’s only available to WordPress.com users because its function doesn’t really go past WordPress.com.

  Similarly, to favorite a tweet on Twitter you need to be logged into Twitter. To Like a post on Facebook, you have to be logged into Facebook.
