  Please can anyone help me with the “Like” button? It has disappeared from my blog three days ago. I have tried looking into my dashboard but I can’t find it. Thank you.

  Hi,

  The most recent three posts, all published withing the last few days, have Like buttons on the posts page, and on the individual posts. Do you not see them?

  Hi, thanks for replying. The like was missing for three days. Another blogger kindly let me know how to check it. It didn’t work. I liked my theme, but obviously since the like button wasn’t working I switched over to another theme on my blog where the plugin worked.

  Which theme did it not work on? Checking “Show likes” at the Likes & Shares module of a post or page editor should work on any theme available for WordPress.com sites. If you still want to use that theme, then one of us (you or I) may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar to call for staff attention.

  My old one was Misty Lake. You can add a tag.

  Hi there,

  I did some testing with the Misty Lake theme and had no trouble with the like button. I would love to assist you with the problem if you prefer to have the Misty Lake theme for your blog.

  Be sure to check the status of the like button for your blog by visiting Settings > Sharing from your dashboard. From there, you have the option of displaying likes on the Front Page, on Archive Pages, Search Results, and individual Posts, Pages, Media, and Projects. You also have the option of having the button on particular posts or on all of them.

  You can turn like buttons on and off for a particular post/page under the Like & Share module while editing a post or page.
