"Like" button end of each the Post

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi All,

I am very new to blogging in wordpress. I have just started. The other day I create my first post and a friend of mine wanted to click the “like” at the the end of the post, but he had to register. How can they avoid that registration? It is a bit annoying. The same if they want to write a comment. I am not sure how to do it. Do I need to change any settings?

    Thanks a lot,
    Belen

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Only logged in people with WordPress.com accounts can Like the posts. That’s an anti-spam measure.

Check your settings on the Discussions page of the dashboard, and you can tweak them there.

Thank you very much for your reply. However, where is the discussion page of the dashboard? I don’t see it.

And then that means that I can change that setting so that people can comment of my post without registering?

    Thanks

    Yes.

The Discussion page is under Settings, down near the bottom of the dashboard page.

    Thank you,

I have unticked the box so that people do not have to register.

At least that will be easy for them and I have the power to accept their comments in any case.

Thanks a lot, it was really helpful.

Probably will keep asking more but this seems to be solved. Need to wait for my friend to see if that works now.
