Like button missing

I moved my blog by registering another one and transferring my content and the yellow like button under my first post disappeared. Could someone please tell me where it went and how to get it back?

No, sorry, the problem’s still there. I have made sure that show a like button is checked but the like button still isn’t visible.

I’m sorry I did not understand that right off. Contact Staff for help please as Volunteers answering questions do not have nabckend access to blogs — only Staff do. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

http://themoviewanderer.wordpress.com/2011/01/01/hi/The “Like” button is there, alright. However, it is normal that you wouldn’t see it on the home page. “Like” buttons only show up when you view the post individually.
Does that answer your question? If not, ask staff like timethief suggested. :-)

Nope, that’s my original blog. I transferred the contents of that blog to another one and the like button disappeared. I’ll ask the staff. Thanks.

Did you “transfer” the content into a wordpress.ORG install? If do then the like button is only availabel “in-house” for wordpress.COM users.

The way you have the settings on that blog, the Like and Share buttons only appear on individual blog posts. You have to change that setting so that they show on Index pages too.

So here’s the thing. We 3 volunteers can all see the “ike” button exactly where it ought to appear. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/like-button-missing?replies=13#post-545894
If you cannot see it on the sepearate post page (not the front page) then you likely have a browser issue. Log out of wordpress.com, clear your browser cache & cookies and log in again please.

@raincoaster nope, that didn’t work. tried changing the setting to posts, pages, and index pages, still nothing.
