Like button not showing on homepage – Coraline
-
I have managed to get the sharing link up on the bottom of each of my posts on my homepage, but can’t seem to get the ‘like’ button to show. It only shows when I click through to the post, but not on the homepage (where people are most likely to click on it). Can anyone help resolve this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. To my knowledge, the WordPress.com “Like” button only shows on individual posts, sorry. In other words, you can only “Like” posts, not a whole blog.

Thanks for the post. I dont think that I explained myself clearly.
My problem is that the ‘like’ button is not showing up on the bottom of each post – the share button is, but not the like. I would have thought that I could get them to show up in the same place as one another.
Take a look if you have time – http://www.communitiesknow.com

Unlike the “share” buttons, I think there’s no setting to display the “Like” button on the front page beneath each post, sorry.

im also wondering the same thing! i think that alot of people view posts from main page and thus the opportunity to like isnt there. not many people will click individual posts. i’d lvoe to hear if there is a way around this? it doesnt make sense not to have it on every view

I agree with nataliakuna. I get as many viewers coming in on my home page as on my individual post. It would be great if they could “like” any one of the posts they read.

Go to
Setting>sharing
Button Style : Select “Official buttons”And that will restore the ‘Like’ Button. Only thing is that you will not be able to share.

@njorogejustus: notquiteold is talking about the WordPress.com like button. It looks like you are talking about the Facebook like button instead.
