Like Button on Every Post

I find I’m only able to like people’s posts through the reader. I’d like to be able to like people’s posts straight from their site. How do I do this? Similarly, I’d like a like button on my site’s post. How do I do this? I’ve searched but I keep finding what seems to be outdated advice from a few years ago.

By default, all WordPress.com blogs display the Like button (and the gallery of Gravatars for bragging rights) under each post.
I think the key is that it is under the full post on its individual page, not the blog page of your site that shows several posts. I do see the like button on your posts.
