Like button requires email/password from non bloggers
-
I am using Publicize now (a big help by the way) and so I have many Facebook people reading my blog articles. These are non-WordPress people. Many have told me that they wanted to like my articles but were unable to do so because they were asked for an email address and a password. I certainly didn’t specify that non bloggers be required to do this and I can’t find anywhere to turn that off. I’m losing a lot of Likes out there!! Help!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The WordPress.com like button is an in-house like button. It’s like every other in-house member use only like button (example Facebook like button). Only logged in WordPress.com bloggers can use the WordPress.com like button on WordPress.com blogs.
Also note likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. See here for what I do to compel readers to read posts on my site > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats

You don’t have to require a log-in or an email address from commenters, but if you don’t then you have flung doors to your blog wide open to spammers. See more on that at the end of my comment please.
This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

Other comment settings
_Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
_Users must be registered and logged in to commentNote that the prompt to submit and email address and a website URL will still appear, but providing an email address and logging in are not required, and you cannot change this so the prompt does not appear.
You can post instructions for your visitors in a text widget if you wish to set up anonymous commenting. That’s easy to do. You copy and paste this into a text widget:
Readers: Note that the email address and logging in prompts do appear for comments on this blog, but providing an email address and logging in are not required.
P.S. Do be sure to set up full comment moderation ie. “An administrator must always approve the comment” because anonymous commenting is bound to increase the amount of spam your blog will receive.
