Like buttons on comments

  WP, I finally came across a blog where Like buttons were being tried out on comments. Let me say first that I like the idea. However, I’m not crazy about the conspicuousness of the button. Taken along with the post’s Like and Share buttons, the related content, etc., things are getting much too cluttered visually. Personally I much prefer tiny little gray up and down carets, or just the word “Like” in a tiny gray font that doesn’t compete with the content. After all, the point is to draw attention to the comment, not the Like feature itself. Please don’t clutter the interface any more than it already is. And please, if you implement Likes on comments, make it an optional feature that we can toggle on or off both globally and per post.
