"Like" counters

  Hi — I’ve searched every key phrase I can think of, but I can’t find anything on this topic.

  I find out about “likes” in my email, but there seems not to be a “like” counter on the actual web page. Is this a theme issue, or is there somewhere I can click to turn this on?

  There is a like counter here: https://wordpress.com/stats/year . You can also see stats for day/week/month.

  Thanks; sorry, I wasn’t clear: I mean so that readers can see the like count, as with Facebook.

  I presume you’ve read: https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/ . Likes can only be displayed per post, not a running total of likes for the whole site. Although as likes only show when made by people logged in to WordPress.com I find the Blog Stats Widget in my sidebar for the total clicks on the site far more useful.

  Hi — Thanks for the suggestion; I’ve implement that.

  However, although I know that likes can only be per post, I thought a counter should be able to show up on the main page next to each post. Again, this might be an aspect of the theme I am using.
