'Like' Email Refers Recipient to Old Post

I see in my stats that people are often coming to my blog through a link for a very old post that shows up when they get the ‘denisebushphoto liked your post you should go see what they are up to’ email … after I like one of their posts. The email is referring to a post called ‘New Hampshire Barns’ which was created in 2010. If popularity is a factor the problem is only worsened by having this show up. I want people to see my new work, not something I created 4 years ago!!! Is there anyway to change it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You could set it not to be seen anymore by changing that post to “private.” Are you sure you want that? My most popular post it’s two years old, and every week.several people discover my blog through it. Once there, they read other posts.

People come in through that post because it shows up as a link in the email they receive if I like one of their posts. My work has gotten better after 4 years so I would prefer they are referred to something a little more current. They aren’t coming to that post because they search for that topic. If I make it private and they click on it they may just go away. I wish wordpress would build something in to make the links in the email to more current posts. I don’t really want to delete that post either because my blog also serves as a journal. Any other suggestions wordpress?
