Like not registering on mobile

I have noticed numerous time that if i Like a post using Chrome on my Android 10 device it opens a wordpress tab, then goes back to the post and button turns green and it says “You liked this post”, but my avatar doesn’t appear besides it and if i reload the page the like is not saved. I am logged in to wordpress.com on mobile, i can browse my profile, check notifications, like replies. Why it doesn’t work for liking other posts posted on wordpress pages? It works fine on desktop.

I notice both those sites are on custom domains, so this is likely a cookie problem.
To like a post we need to be able to detect that you’re logged into your WordPress.com account. We do that by a cookie we set in your browser. The problem is that cookie is for WordPress.com, and the website you’re liking the post is on a different domain (the fact that it’s hosted on WordPress.com doesn’t matter – the browser only cares about the domain).
More and more browsers, with Chrome being the most significant one, are starting to block third-party cookies like this by default, whether websites need them to work or not. And it sounds like that’s what’s working here.
To confirm, can you install another browser like Firefox on your phone, log in, and see if the same thing happens?
