Like option on blog
-
I have a friend, a non-blogger, who wanted to like my post. She said it required her to sign up with wordpress. How can I avoid that? That will limit the number of people who can like my blog!

You can’t avoid it. You have to be logged in to like a post on WordPress, just as you have to be logged in to like anything on Facebook. That’s just the way it is.

Like thegiddgoat says unless the friend has a WordPress.conm username account she can’t use the like button. However, think about this clearly. Comments are gold and likes are bragging stats that amount to nothing more than that as any monkey can click a button. Your friend has the ability to actually submit meaningful comments to your posts and doing that is a traffic attractor. Active discussions attract even more commenters and they are the bloggers more likely to subscribe and become a contributings member of your blog centered community.
