Like Spam from Russian Spammers

Hi nickimags – Can you mark the comments as spam? This way, our system can learn. Thanks.
-
nil1950 – I don’t need links, as I can look them up from my side of things. Thanks. Feel free to add the screen shot to your media library if you don’t want to link that here.

Hi again,
I reactivated my comments likes today and up to now it looks good :-)
Only one small snagg… the first batch of those likes that I had still show in my notifications (the bell) and also on the posts they were then… They are all over my Easter Greetings – not so appropriate, is it? ;-)
Any way to get rid of those as wel one way or the other? :-)

Hi Nil – Have you tried clearing your cache? https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
-
I use Firefox and it is set to clear cache when I close down the browser… my favourite setting. ;-) Tried manually as well – no joy… Didn’t seem to make a difference… It must be that they really like my Easter post :-)
I also cleared the site content cache – no change…
They’re here to stay, settled and all? :-)

Morning nil1950 – The only place I see these
sexynotifications is in the notifications themselves on your account. Is that what you see as well? There’s not any way for me to remove them from the notifications bell. I can see that they are already pretty far down the notification list. Eventually they’ll get faded out.

Good morning to you too – or is it afternoon by now where you are? :-)
Yes, they are indeed under the bell. But they are also visible under the comments of ‘Happy Easter’… But no worries, if it cannot be done, so be it… By next Easter I will have forgotten about them, I guess… ;-)

For a couple of weeks, I have been noticing “spam” likes leading to “… sexy …” sort of addresses. My website is for academic purposes. such LIKES hamper the image of my website.
This is alarming.
Pls WORDPRESS ! This is a very serious problem and needs URGENT actions, plz!
Thanks.

Perhaps not Russian, but I am being regularly ‘Followed’ by this:
Clearly automated, it always registers two (or more) ‘Follows’ and add random ‘Likes’ to my posts.
They have a Gravatar which is just an advert for their site when expanded or looked at.
Obviously not a genuine blogger, just spamming, but there’s no way to stop or block them, and deleting them as a follower every day is now tiresome and irritating, but I don’t want them to get notification of new posts in case they used that to trigger increased activity by their spambot.

There seems to be a new attack under way or in the preparation – in the last few days I have noticed numerous new followers from what are obviously bogus Outlook.com accounts
eg(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
