Like w/o signing in

    Hello I am trying to find a way for readers to “like” a post without signing in. Is that a possibility? I tried installing this plugin but could not get it to work: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-likes/installation/.

    Let me know. We are trying to achieve this on the http://www.thehitboard.com.

    Only logged in WordPress.com bloggers can use the WordPress.com like button on WordPress.com blogs. The WordPress.com like button is an in-house like button. It’s like every other in-house member use only when logged in like button (example Facebook like button). We do not have FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins. Hence, there is no means of achieving what you want to do.

    Also note likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
