likes and comments do not appear on reader

  This has been an issue for years with WordPress. Please look into it and really fix it.

  When we go to Reader on a recent post, for example the page titled Mongolia https://wordpress.com/tag/mongolia/

  and I look at our post http://cutterlight.com/2015/01/07/crows-ice-fishing-for-caddis-larvae-tuul-river-mongolia/

  I see that on the reader, the “likes” and “comments” show 0. (zero). As we continue to say to WordPress, “Likes” and “Comments” beget more Likes and Comments. WE WANT TRAFFIC. HELP US!! FIX THIS PROBLEM WE HAVE BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION MANY TIMES NOW!

  Hey there,

  Only Like and Comments made on the Reader will be part of the count. If a Like/Comment is made directly on your post, it will not appear in the Reader. This is the way that the Reader is configured.

  If you’d like to suggest a change to the way the Reader counts work, please leave them in our Ideas forum:

  https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas

  Our developers check into that forum to see what changes to our systems that our users might like.

  Sorry that this isn’t anything that I can ‘fix’ for your with any sort of immediacy. I wish I could help, but it’s simply the way the Reader is configured to behave.
