Likes and dislikes button under each comment
-
Dear Sirs, some time ago I added the “dislike button” under each comment. Now I would like to eliminate it and leave only the “like button” but I forgot how to do that. Can you help me please?
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
There’s no way to just enable the thumbs up without the thumbs down rating. You can disable both through Settings > Ratings:
-
Thanks a lot for your kind answer. But I can assure you that before having both thumbs there was only the thumb up under each comment. I was myself – some months ago – to add also the the thumb down through Setting>Ratings>Comments>Advanced Settings. And if I go around visiting other WP blogs I see that in most of them there is only the thumb up rating under the comments. Just as it was originally also in my blog.
I should be very grateful if you would be so kind to elaborate further.
Thanks again for your kindness. -
Oh! I’m so sorry about that. You’re correct. I completely missed the “Advanced Settings” button. Sorry for the confusion!
It also looks like the support page I linked you to could use a refresh, so I’ll make sure that gets updated soon.
Again, so sorry for the confusion. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Don’t be sorry, please. You have been so kind! But the problem is not resolved yet. Please let me know how I can restore the default rating under each comment enabling only the thumb up. I have just tried again and there is no way to disable the thumb down.
Thanks again. -

Hmm. I just went through all of the ratings settings on my test site and I’m not seeing a way to do this.
You said you’ve seen other sites with only the thumbs up symbol, could you give me a link or two so I can see how they have their ratings set up?
Also, we do have a fairly new feature Comment Likes. This basically acts as a purely ‘thumbs up’ rating scale for your comments. You can enable this through your dashboard at Settings > Sharing. The setting is toward the bottom, so make sure you scroll all the way down. Just check the box next to “Comment Likes are” to make them “On for all comments”.

Thanks.
Done! But I had to untick the box “Show Ratings on” in Setting>Ratings>Comments before. Did I do the right thing?
Anyway, I can see the new icon in every comment under each post but not under the comments in my dashboard (Setting>Comments), as I could do when I used the “Nero Rating” option. There I was able to see also the exact number of likes. Why is it not possible with this new feature? There are no icons at all. Did I make any mistakes? -

Oh yes. I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that. I’m on a roll lately, aren’t I? :/

Instead of seeing the ratings underneath each comment, there’s a new column to the right that will track the comment likes. I’ve highlighted it here:
Your most recent comments don’t have any ‘likes’ currently, but if you scroll down a little bit you’ll see other comments with likes. The number will appear there. Unfortunately there’s no way to ‘like’ a comment from the dashboard, but if you click on the number you’ll be taken directly to the comment where you can like the comment.
Does that clarify things? Let me know if I can help further!

Yes, everything’s clear. But I woul like to show you the same post with the new feature: http://giacomosalerno.com/2014/07/19/una-questione-politica-ezio-mauro/#like-42311
And with the “Nero rating” feature: http://giacomosalerno.com/2014/07/19/una-questione-politica-ezio-mauro/
Can you see the difference of “likes” under each comment? -

What a pity! Well, I know much more about ratings now. I’ll choose the feature that I’ll find best. Unfortunately the best feature would have been the “nero rating” without thumbs down. I made a mistake when I decided to enable them. I didn’t know it would be impossible to get back
Anyway, I thank you for all the time you spent for this problem. You have been very kind. Thank you a lot. I hope that it will possible to do that in the future. -

It did not depend on you. If it is not possible what could you have done? Thank you again for your availability.
