Likes and Views

  I am getting messages that people “liked” postings and the number of those messages is greater than the views. Is that an error or is there a chance that people somehow like a posting without viewing it. Either way, the likes and comments just don’t seem to jive – perhaps there is a delay in updating the stats. I suppose none of it matters, but I am curious as to why things seem to be out of synch when it comes to my analytics.

  It’s possible to like a post from the Reader without opening the post to view it. I’m not sure why other people do this :) but sometimes I do it is when I’m using the like feature more as a bookmark and then I plan to go to the Posts I Like page to read them later. Another idea is that people just liked the post based on the title and/or featured image and except.
