Likes button

The Likes button under each post is not active to the public, except to bloggers. My older posts didn’t have this problem … Have checked Settings/Readings/Site visibility and Setting/Sharing/On For All Posts and finally tested the Likes/Shares boxes on the post edit page. Please help. Likes/feedbacks are my fuel for blogging.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Mia – only logged in WordPress.com users can use the Like button. However, readers who are not logged into WordPress.com can use the sharing buttons:

    Hello,

thanks for replying. I guess this condition was implemented a while after I started my blog, then. All the likes of my past blog posts are gone. Now it looks like nobody ever saw or read those posts!
    Any chance of restoring this?

  • Hi Mia – It’s always been this way. However, note that some time ago, we did change how many likes display on your front page. So for example, on your “Home for Christmas” post, you have 11 likes, but only 8 display on the front page. If you click the “11 bloggers” link, you’ll see all of them.

    Does that explain it?
