Likes by Amazon
-
Recently, in the past few weeks, I have received likes from Amazon. I only discovered this when I attempted to visit the profile of one of the ‘likers’ to see their site. The username was “maryang2” and the address was “amzn.to/3Pv4SgL”

This was the most recent. Can you advise how this happens and what I can do to prevent it happening?
Many thanks

More information: I just received a “like” from the site below which turned out to be a scam. Fortunately, I did not fall for it.

This is worrying, if scammers are able to access my site. should I make it private?

Hey folks, sorry to hear the spammers are at it! We work to block them, but sometimes they’re able to slip past our radar. We’re checking out the accounts you’ve mentioned. Rest assured, though, while they may be able to like in annoying ways, they won’t have access to change your site.
Please send us links to any spam-liked posts, and share the offending usernames (or a screenshot like @tonyhuby shared) and we’ll investigate. Thank you!

I have the same issue. The most of the like I’ve received link to Amazon page. Here are some examples: @hollytur @rileycamp @natmihi @doigbannat
I guess my options are to turn off the “Like” functionality or hope that WordPress either removes the “link from like” functionality.
