'Likes' by people not registered with WordPress
-
Hi – sorry, I guess this question might come up a lot.
People (who don’t have a WordPress account) have mentioned to me that they are not able to ‘like’ my posts.
I logged out of my account to test it – I visited one of my pages and clicked the like button. A pop-up appeared asking me to log-in or register with WordPress. Ideally I’d like anyone to be able to ‘like’ my posts.
It’d be great if I could change this – any tips, as ever, will be gratefully received.
Thanks.

Likes are a built-in function of WordPress that links to your account, so you won’t be able to have unregistered people clicking the Like button: https://en.support.wordpress.com/likes/
They can use a Facebook or Twitter account to comment, though, if that helps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-and-twitter-comments/

Hi there,
That seems like a bit of a shame, but thanks for clearing that up for me. Much appreciated!
