Likes & Comments not showing

  Hey,

  Tried a support search and could not find an answer so maybe someone out there can explain the issue I am having where my Likes on posts on WordPress.com hosted custom domain blogs are not showing up and where comments are “Sorry, this comment could not be posted”

  Scenario 1 – Likes not happening:

  After logging into my WordPress.com account and browsing freshly pressed and I find an article hosted on WordPress.com (footer shown) with a custom domain (e.g. http://busymockingbird.com/2013/08/27/collaborating-with-a-4-year-old/ )

  I then try to Like the article using the Like button, but I press it and a popup appears for a few seconds and then closes without my interaction. No update to the Like on the article shows and the LIke is not on my personal like list.

  Scenario 2 – Comments not posted

  Exactly the same page, I then scroll down to the bottom and type in a reply like “Absolutely brilliant.” … I am logged in as my Gravatar is visible and it is saying I am commenting using my WordPress.com account. When clicking Post Comment I get a white screen with “Sorry, this comment could not be posted.”

  Other info… I am using Chrome (latest version) and this problem only happens on custom domain WordPress.com posts – if the post is on a free someotheruser.wordpress.com domain, then I have zero problems and likes and comments work…..

  Considering there are many other people able to post comments and get valid likes to show up on the posts I struggle to Like/Comment, I am hoping that there is just something on my account that needs to be updated/changed to allow this.

  Not sure if this makes any difference, but I reset my account password to see if it may be a security issue but it made no difference to this particular problem. I also cleared cookies/caches etc and tried on different browsers but it still does not work.
